Kanan Added a comment about bike check Fezzari La Sal Peak “EnDHuro“ Edition

5/24/2020 3:03pm
The La Sal was and still is pretty progressive for an enduroish bike 78° ST and 65° HT. Seemed a lot better then the Santa Cruz and the Ripmos I demo'd. Super comfortable bike also.

I could definitely see that being the case and would definitely be a concern as they are not very established in the US.

Thanks for the reply Jeff and I agree about the one size fits all approach. I was running no tokens 3 bands and weighed about 200. I think if I'd stress anything about the Megneg is that it's a change/different not an "upgrade". I think in a lot of cases "not yours" it was being pitched as an upgrade instead of an option. I've had several people ask me about the megneg since I seems to have had it before it came out. I generally just said I didn't care for it, but it would probably be good for someone...

Used the Megneg About 6 months on a dead linear bike (current Slash) it did make the bike more progressive but it. Made the small bump noticably worse. Also for no reason I can explain I was getting significantly more pedal strikes at the same sag. Went back to the factory can and the bike was better all around. Wasn't bad just wasn't better.

Kanan Added a comment about press release Ibis Launches the New Ripley

I've owned 2 turners , installed 3 needle bearing kits and ridden a ripmo . I've also cycled a ripmo's suspension without a shock. Even the drag from one bushing is noticable. Ibis stated that bushing drag was an " issue " with the Ripmo. Any arguments that are pro pushing are marketing to explain why a frame that's 2500 plus is using parts that cost cents instead of dollars. The only bearings I've replaced are in a 8 year old bike that was stored out side, my Turner needed bushings twice in a year , I loved that bike...

Bushings again...and round hardware looks like it will have the same problems the original had. Too bad.

Super nice build , sure on that 32lbs? Mines a large frame 9.8 and came in at 29.3 with 2.6 SE4s . Cush core and DD really add that much weight ?
