What a beauty! I think I'd be afraid to crash on this baby, but I'd ride the hell out of it anyway. Gold Hope brakes look so cool, and I very never seen the handlebars before but very classy

JoelZ Started a new thread XT or Guide R brakes? 2016
2/10/2017 3:06pm I have a choice between these two brakes and wanted to know which is a better brake. By better I mean which is more durable, powerful and which has better feel at the lever. I know some info is subjective but I would appreciate any feedback or opinions. Thanks ahead

2/10/2017 3:03pm I don't think there is any difference between SLX or XT, but the XTs are a little lighter. All Shimano levers will pair with Shimano calipers. I don't know what levers you have but if they're Shimano then they should work. The newer 8000 xt has a different bleed port cover that is one piece as opposed to the SLX...

1/27/2017 10:17pm I bought a pair of Saint m820 levers and just mounted them to my m966 calipers. I just wanted to know if anyone has tried this and any thoughts as to how they might work if you have tried. Thanks Joel
