Yes love that they allow me to change the geo. I have the short version too for the future mullet experiment or 27.5 conversion. Fitted are long version at the steeper head angle position.

Short research watching his video and I found the brand is called Roots bikes and Sam found it on ebay. They have a website and looks like they produce some frames with durable looking joints too. The one that Sam broke looks like it doesn't have proper matrix. Maybe for the entertainment somehow it was nice that Sam got that frame but the result would have been different if it was purpose built.

Mine has gone through some splits too only on the down tube. It happened when I traveled from tropical weather to winter. Learned that it happens since bamboo needs to release stress inside of the material when the weather changes. Just filled the gap to seal it and rode it hard to see if it keeps happening. No more new splits since then even after some crashes, and same ride feel as before. Still I don't push so much beyond my limit riding this bike and just enjoy until being on the edge of the control to avoid extreme crashes.

I commented on Sam's video that there was an early bamboo bike in Santa Cruz that was a shop bike somewhere in town. All of the main tubes had multiple splits in the bamboo but it still rode just fine around town for years.
