With Lourdes back on the 2022 UCI World Cup schedule, we wanted to remind everybody of that time the skies opened up overnight and made for an exciting qualifying day in 2016. Pure peanut butter pain. These might be the best bike riders in the world, but we would argue it takes equal parts skill and bravery to ride these conditions. Only a little over three months from now until racers are back in the south of France and we couldn't be more thrilled!
Home. Not many of us really get to say that word and feel it from our soul. Home. A four-letter word to some, but not to FSA and especially not to Andrew. We are both rooted in the northwest and have the ability to ride everywhere and come home to something familiar, safe, comfortable. Home is where the dirt is best. Home is where life begins and thrives. Home is where we stay rooted. "After living on the road for a few years and riding in all 50 states, I was finally ready to settle down and find a place...

Jason_Schroeder Added a new video The Impossible Route: Telluride Hellride

12/15/2021 10:40am
The Impossible, Route Telluride Hellride, is the 4th episode in season 1 and it was the HARDEST ONE DAY route in America. The Impossible Route is a cycling Documentary series that follows Jeremiah Bishop, Ryan Petry, and Tyler Pearce as they set off to see if it is possible to cover seven high alpine passes outside of Telluride, Colorado. The average elevation was 10,000-feet above sea level with the low of 8,000-feet and a high of 13,800-feet. That means just riding period, is going to be tough. Let alone climbing the steep pitches, lose gravel, and technical sections of downhill...
Watch freeride MTB legend, Darren Berrecloth, fuse his creative building and unique riding in this stunning new edit shot by Rupert Walker. For years, mountain bike films have led to mind-blowing one-off stunts for film features tucked out of the way in British Columbia's forests. Most of these iconic structures are now dilapidated and reclaimed by nature. Darren Berrecloth has built his fair share, but for this new backyard edit, he’s created a series of inspired features along the trails he regularly rides and incorporated them into the flow with his signature riding style. "I've been wanting to do a...
As a parent it’s so easy to see the golden days as being behind us. Looking to an uncertain future is unnerving. Being cyclists we get so much energy and fulfillment from playing hard outdoors. Growing older makes you wonder, “Will I be too busy to keep riding? Will my body allow it? Will there be space in my life?” In the end it’s just a bicycle. A hobby that ought to give way when the demands of adulthood or parenthood summon. …or is it something more? A big part of taking care of your family is taking care of...
This is where I like to start in the gym at the beginning of each off-season. These types of workouts have been great for me rehabbing from injury as well and overall a great way to build a strong strength foundation at any time. Workout recap: 1. a) Single arm chest press b) single arm back row/pull. 2. a) Single arm shoulder press b) single arm pull down. 3. a) Shoulder internal rotation b) shoulder external rotation 4. a) Single leg hamstring curl b) single leg knee pull 5. Split squats Disclaimer: I'm not a certified trainer or doctor. Everything...
We all know that excitement of a new bike day, just seeing you bike for the first time, knowing that it's the cleanest it’ll ever be before you take it out to hit the trails for the first time. But before the riding gets going, there’s the therapeutic process of building the bike to be done. World cup mechanic Lukas Grauel is back on the tools again for a Fabio Wibmer custom build, but this time he wouldn’t be on his own in the workshop as the anticipation was too much for Fabio who travelled to our HQ in Koblenz...

Back in the PorterMTB yard we build and ride our craziest feature yet, a full backyard waterslide setup for MTB and BMX! This is one of the coolest things we've done back here, it's the dream yard riding setup!

Jason_Schroeder Added a new video Sam Hill | Finding the Line

12/10/2021 9:01am
A natural born talent mixed with a love for bikes, hard work and incredible support from his family - the many ingredients that have made Sam Hill one of the greatest riders of all time. We chatted to Sam earlier this year about what mountain biking means to him, his hunger for more racing, becoming a World Champion and a whole lot more.
In the latest episode of "A Dog's Life", Brendan is back on UK soil aboard the 2022 SCOTT Gambler. Desperate to clock up a few air miles on the big bike, Brendan hits the long awaited and highly anticipated Oakley Icon Way jump line at Dyfi bike park in Wales. Labeled as a "Triple Black" by Dyfi trail building mastermind, Dan Atherton, this jump line is without a doubt one of the largest sets of jumps and drops on offer across Europe and the UK. Brendan is also joined by none other than newly inducted MTB Hall of Fame shredder...
One of our favorite mountain bike legends turned professional commentating personality, Rob Warner, took the time to partake in our ’17 Questions’ interview back in 2017. A comedic genius in his own right, this video is filled with endless laughs. It’s fun looking back on what topics were relevant at the time, including the prediction that racers would be showing up to the first World Cup of the 2017 season with 29-inch wheeled downhill bikes, which did happen. We also wonder if Rob still hates pedaling today as much as he did back in 2017, now that he’s a big-time...

Proving Grounds is a good time. With everyone in town to ride the contest, it only makes sense to cruise out with my bike and the dadcam to enjoy the festivities with the crew before it's time to trade in the bike for a mic on finals day. Here's a little taste of what its like hanging out at the event, but make sure to watch the full contest recap on the Proving Grounds YouTube Channel.
Style is somewhat of a favorite subject for Erik Fedko and Emil Johansson. It's something the sport of MTB Slopestyle and sports similar to it are obsessed with day in and day out. Having plenty of style has allowed Erik and Emil to travel the world and showcase their interpretation of style on the biggest stages out there. In episode two of ‘Raising the Bar,’ the duo travels to Austria, where they take on the rest of the world's finest at Crankworx Innsbruck. Naturally, their trip includes some mandatory stops at interesting bike spots, including Erik's compound in Germany.
This is my fully customized 2021 Trek Ticket build from start to finish. Is it the ultimate dirt jump bike? What would you change? Trek released their latest Ticket frame in 2021 and the geometry, build and paint is incredible with a two tone pearlescent green and purple. I figured I needed to match the frame with high spec components for this one off build and chose to go with: FOX, Spank, Industry Nine, SRAM and many others to complete my one-off dirt jump bike.
