Other point of view: I did the E-EWS Valberg last weekend, the transfer times were razor thin, any mishaps and you would miss your starts, I had to change my battery twice, would have been a nightmare if it took any longer than 2 minutes.

Its also an issue when you're on the road with a campervan and don't have a powergrid onboard to charge the battery all the time. So i often charge it in restaurants when i eat something which wouldn't be possible with this bike. And when I have to resort to the converter in my van I try to charge when I drive and the bike is on the bike rack. Plus the battery will be exposed to the sun and heat much more, which makes it degrade faster and prone to ignite when charged simultaneously.

Right on, I appreciate the insight! I have yet to graduate to the dual battery life, but especially with a 504Wh battery the need for two is very understandable.

sure. I currently have a 2020 meta power 29 with the shimano 504 battery. I have an extra battery. It takes seconds to change and is perfect for days at pedal up bike parks, long rides that might require an additional battery, or multiple days riding without the ability to charge my bike. I don't really have an issue with the size of the battery. I actually really like the look of this bike! also the weight is very impressive as well for a full power EMTB.
