I haven’t had any issues with chain drop so far. have ridden it this way for maybe 6 months before putting it up for winter.

It's been good so far, no chain drops or skipping yet and it feels more efficient/quieter, even if is mostly on my head. I haven't had had it out on very chunky stuff yet though so I'll see if i out the pulley back on for big mountain trips or not.

... maybe because it sucks when you get new grips, and they rip open on the second corner when you drop your bike.
