It's an enormous waste of time and a great way to get tired before your race. There are races where walking the tracks could mean 12 miles of hiking before your race, after getting off a plane from the other side of the planet. We have bikes. We can ride the tracks.

PM's and the SKU bean counters at the big companies heads might explode if this becomes more of a thing. Does this harken in the return of 26"? Pick 2 wheel sizes and be a dick about it?

I believe that for a while there will be 97.5, but in the long run I find it difficult, much easier for the industry to make only 29 items available than the two models. I believe bikes 29 are complete and the difference of 97.5 is not relevant. We'll see.
