I bumped my Zeb up to 170mm for a while, the best part wasn't the extra travel but that with a 170 fork and slack headset cup with the high chain stays was about the ideal geometry for me for gnarly and long bike park stuff. I've since moved it back down to 160mm with the middle headset cup and high chain stay position, I tried all the other stuff and this is the best feeling for me for do it all setup. Yah, I tried my SJ Evo with an EXT Arma. 2 different valvings, 2 different links, literally 5-7 different springs, it was never as good as the OEM shock with more volume reducers. It did pedal amazing with that shock though. Stick with an air shock imo. And yes the Cascade link is a tremendous help on that bike.

Attack, but its less perfect than I'd probably like to admit. (IE, I'm probably at 17mm sitting, 15-16 in attack)

I bought a push eleven six R for that bike which did feel great for small bump but I find it rides really high with it and still blows through the travel. Maybe the cascade link will solve that issue and with the WRP I should be closer to the bike fit...

8/13/2024 10:39am No issue with the tire hitting the frame with that setup when the shock was fully compressed? How long did you run it like that? What shock did you use?I have so many questions. lol I might keep it in the high chain stay that would bring the bb to like 350ish which I think is nice for trail riding!

I ran a SJevo for a bit over 2 years and really enjoyed that bike. Lots of experimenting and if I could only keep one single mod, it would be the Cascade Link. However the combo that rocked my world was a CC, a WRP mullet link, Mara Pro (with the volume reducer that cuts the can in half, then 2 more reducers), long and slack settings & a 29er rear wheel. This set up really corrected all of my issues with that bike and made it incredibly capable.
