Jackson’s DSQ had nothing to do with the poles themselves, other than the wind blowing him outside of them. If it had been tape instead, the same thing happens except he’s tangled up in tape too.

Strong disagree. At the point where you are taking quali laps you know exactly where you're going and where the course is. Tape wouldn't have made it any different.

If Dak goes to Scott, they better make him one of those stupid integrated stem / bar combos with 75 mm rise. And then run the brake cables through it just to stay on message.

I agree, but I think the problem is, there really aren't any other areas where they can hold this event. They have tried, but the topography and the soil are so unique to this area. Also, I would rather they not start carving up more and more of that environment for Rampage. Keeping it confined to these zones is probably why it has been able to continue for so long.
