frustrated Added a comment about press release Knolly Moves to 12 x 157mm Rear Axle Spacing - 157TRAIL

While yes there are charts proving it is stiffer, I do not doubt that side at all, more whether it's needed. With so many different manufacturers having varying results in terms of stiffness vs compliance and resulting grip and comfort. What's to say 142 isn't already enough? I certainly don't hop on my 142x12 hub'd bikes and wish they were stiffer.

With actual and effective angles differing by so much (what is the actual angle on this frame, BTW?), regardless if it's a bent or straight, offset tube, the issue is the same for (extra)large riders. So if it's a different offset is it similar deal to running a 142 hub in 148 frame with adapters and spacers? Like 20x110 vs 20x110boost? Cause I've ridden a couple frames with 150 spacing that have proven to be too stiff leading to reduction in performance and comfort, is this a case of stuffer must be better? Or do we have quantifiable data?
