I live within 1.5 hours to Schladming, Leogang, Saalbach and other parks. I had downhill bikes since 2006 (and raced "downhill" back in the 90s on modified XC-bikes). But starting about 5 years ago almost all of my friends got rid of their downhill bikes. I'm 45 years old now - so not the typical downhill rider. But also much younger friends (like 30) sold their downhill bikes. The parks and mountain bike regions wanted to bring more people to their parks and regions - not only the "hard core downhill biker". And they had to build tracks to combine...

@chasejj : I don’t ride carbon fiber and thinking about resale isn’t dumb, it’s good forward thinking but from the sounds of it you probably think Roth’s and 401k’s are dumb too huh? I’m guessing your money is buried in the backyard in a coffee can somewhere

Just saw the newly built Tyrol section the other day. Its amazing! Definitely big fan of mullet direction. Ive been on that route running 27.5 wheels but a wider front rim and bigger/taller tire for years. Currently running a Magic Mary 27.5 x 2.6 front with 37mm width front rim, and a 27.5 x 2.35 Hans Dampf rear on a 30mm rim on my Nomad.

I had I9 Torch as my rear hub for basically two years trouble free with a lot of miles on it, about a month ago the rear hub just gave out after i heard a loud noise out of the back. I contacted I9 and they asked me for proof of purchase from We Are One, I also asked if they could do a full rebuild with new spokes and nipples after finding out how long my LBS are back up. I send the wheels and received them back quickly with Hydra Hubs as a warranty upgrade only paid for...

I have been using the AXS Derailleur & shifter for 4 months (400 mile on them so far) and a couple of weeks on the AXS dropper. it took like two rides to get used to the interaction, I had to reverse shifter setting from the stock setting, as it is more natural for me. i really like the ease of activation of the shifter, i really like it now. So far i have only charged my battery twice and about to do a third. I really didnt notice any issues in the cold (used it northeast USA temps from...
