3/15/2024 9:26pm So one thing that may or may not have any bering is if the rebound is actually a little too fast. I feel like (and seen in Motion Instruments data) that when the rebound gets too fast (LSR in particular) it has this effect of "Pushing" the wheels into the holes of the trail. That's why something like ultra-fast rebound can feel good on a smoother trail, but start to feel a bit like crap when the trail gets rougher. I have seen from my experience that when you speed rebound up it goes from feeling great to feeling harsh...

3/10/2024 10:02pm Appreciate the feedback. Seeing as it’s winter in Wyoming right now, won’t be riding for a bit, but this gives me some avenues to try come spring time!

3/10/2024 2:31pm I’m about 210 lbs, got a 500 lbs spring, LSC 4 from closed, HSC 1 from closed, rebound 9 from closed, HBO 2 from closed, 2 turns of preload. Conti DH casing usually at 27 rear 23 front.

3/10/2024 11:09am Last fall I was riding in Moab and found on the high speed sections of Porcupine rim, where there are endless square-edge rocks to plow through, that me and my bike were not rolling quite as fast as others I was riding with. I wasn’t really braking and I was pumping as best I could through the chunk, but still...

1/23/2024 9:01am At 5’9” I used to ride a large (SC nomad when it had a 460 reach). Now riding a medium Giant Reign and find 450ish has been good for me. Seems like some people love huge bikes and some people love smaller bikes. Both have pros and cons, just what you prefer really. I personally enjoy the smaller bike feel...

8/2/2022 6:59am It is funny to see companies going the exact opposite way for suspension kinematics as Cascade Components. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

3/1/2022 9:07pm Last summer I saw Chris Canfield on an aluminum high pivot enduro bike at a bike race. Would be pretty cool to see Revel try their hand at a HP enduro race bike!

11/30/2021 7:02am 36lbs is VERY normal for a properly equipped enduro bike. The lighter ones have parts that wont hold up (especially tires) and are expensive builds (most riders can't all afford high end cassettes and wheels that save weight). For most people, this is the actual weight of an enduro bike.

You got to watch him spray paint his dirt jumper’s brand new fox fork, that one will make you cringe

9/7/2021 6:42am Might be old news, but the photos of Loris’ bike offer a view of the New RS shock that I hadn’t seen before. Top dial adjusts HBO. Hydraulic bottom out adjustment or is it something else? https://p.vitalmtb.com/photos/users/2/photos/147576/s1600_Lenz21_52i093…

9/7/2021 6:37am He has HBO channels on his shock? That’s next level. Could that be a hydraulic bottom out adjustment?

1/8/2021 11:11pm I’m not a racer of any quality, but I like the idea of getting more ride time in even if you’re fully smoked from a big ride. Seems like the main benefit is in training you can meter your wattage while still getting to ride fun trails. But playing the devil’s advocate, why not get on a road bike for a while to get the effort in and then just shuttle some trails and maybe get even more ride time in descending on your race bike. Seems like a fun tool to have in the quiver if you have the...
