One of my favorite things about how this was put together are the wide shots that show the whole feature and show the entire sequence of him hitting that feature. Too often are giant, bad ass things cut or spliced and it takes away from the rider's feat. Super sick vid!

DesertRat Added a comment about press release Fezzari Introduces New Timp Peak e-MTB Starting at $5,999

Legit question on e-bikes and consideration, as maybe I am in the minority in my thinking: There are a few e-bikes out there with alloy frames that have a better spec than this base model for less or equivalent money. With the exception of those "SL" type e-bikes, is a carbon frame worth the extra cash to save that 1-2 pounds (assumption on my part) and/or ride characteristic? This is all a matter of preference, of course, but I'd be keen to hear what others think and why.

I was there when Weir muscled a flat all the way home from lower 1st divide and finished on 1/2 a rear wheel, when Jerome sputtered, when Kabush stomped everyone and won the XC and DH, for the old man vs young gun Weir/O'Donnell DH battles, when the Aussies came out in full lycra on their skinny tire XC rigs and almost took it, I rode the DH with Minnar (he was there just to party with the SC crew), I have sucked down about 25 blueberry pancakes made by Chris King, I attempted to hang on Levi "Baldy" Leipheimer's...

From the press release on here. New frame, same Kyle. From the Strait Acres Slalom Series to a bike park tour and elite global competition, Kyle Strait will be flying the Vitus flag all around the world. Kyle will be riding an Escarpe 275 as his go-to slalom rig. Additionally, look for him on the Dominer, E-Sommet, and Sentier this year. Kyle will also have his hand in designing several forthcoming models, injecting a bit of the Natty Daddy into the Vitus gravity line

It's a trail bike, I don't think many would. I doubt it would hold up to space flight either.

Yo Jimmy, on the topic of an "ideal" suspension rate: I was down in Phoenix for Thanksgiving and got to ride with Vital's tester Jonny Simonetti on his local trails at South Mountain. Recently he reviewed and really liked the new Yeti SB lineup, which all have relatively low progression at 11-17%, which is the opposite of what I would think suits a big guy like Jonny at 6'4"/220 pounds who rips. So I was curious to see what his local trails were like. South Mountain is super gnarly and very much "real mountain biking," but it turns out it's...

DesertRat Added a comment about feature $5,999 2022 Vitus Escarpe AMP 29 Review

Alternatively, you could look at the Escarpe CRX for $4,800 and get the same XT drivetrain and Fox Factory suspension. Now you're looking at a near $1,500 difference (sacrificing carbon hoops and frame storage) but still, nicer suspension for far less money.
