I agree, and you will have 14 year old's (who try to trade their Kona Cowan and a Playstation 3 for a 29er dh bike) commenting on the future of DH racing.

I thought Fearon had just resigned for 3 more years during the off season, same with Dean Lucas. The Bulldog just signed a 3 year deal with MS so he is not going anywhere. Seems funny that Trek would ditch their Atherton experiment after only 3 years considering the basically folded their whole race team to get them. FMD has...

I will wait until there are more hub companies on board (and a XT version) before I would look at the 12 speed set up. I have the one up 50T with a XTR shifter XT rear d set up on my bike now and it is great. I will be getting the pedals. I have the current ones and I have always wished the platform was a little longer, now the new ones are. You can find the new ones online from Germany for like $135 US and not the 180 Shimano has stated.

I have had two, 26 and the new one. Hands down the fastest most stable in the rough stuff dh bike I have owned. I think the longish wheel base does not hurt that. I had come off of a few different versions of the SC and Trek bikes. Rode it back to back with a Wilson, not even close.

People said the same about Mondraker and their forward geo stuff. I have had 3 of their bikes and they ride amazing. I am waiting for my Pole fully buying into the longer front end. I do agree, they do not fit everyone, however you could say the same about brands like Trek and Specialized and their overly small frames.

Talked to the rep at the local demo the other day. He was pretty sure what you see next weekend is the production model of the V 10 29er.
