1/22/2026 7:44am That makes no sense at all. There are 6mm hex bolts on my bike that range from 5nm to 20nm torque spec. By your logic either my shock would fall out or my front wheel axle would be crushed.

1/22/2026 3:45am Surprisingly enough you are supposed to read the manual to find out torque specs not just guess based on what type of head is on the fastener.

1/21/2026 1:53am MT7 levers are already made of aluminium, nobody with MT5s or lower is going to spend $200 on new levers. These are utterly pointless.

2/29/2024 1:43pm what I read here is that the super small ones have issues, my kids had a clash 24 that they passed down among them, and that thing is a tank.. still going strong as a rental in a busy bikepark town... if you want light bikes, go spawn or something else

2/29/2024 1:43pm My son rode the ramones 20" & 24", my daughter had the 14" then she rode his old 20" and is now on the 24". The parts are cheap but I just swapped out stuff as it broke. My son on the 24" with an old fox fork lowered to around 3". Killed the rear wheel this day and moved to a small 27.5 bike and is ripping.

2/25/2024 2:13pm The fork caliper tabs on my kids Ramone are off enough that theres no way to get rid of pad rub. They're pretty far off. If it wasn't super discounted I'd be more bothered. Otherwise solid bike. I did add riser bars, maybe 40mm if I recall. His position with the flat bars wasn't confidence inspiring.

2/25/2024 2:13pm We started with the 12" balance bike when my son was 2 and that taught him how to ride at a very young age. We then got him on the 14" Ramones pedal bike and that too was a great bike. When we jumped him up to the 20" is where I started to notice quality issues. For example, I can not for the life of me get the wheels to spin without the rotors rubbing. I've even put brand new rotors on and they still seem to wobble to the point the rear wheel just has constant brake drag...

2/25/2024 8:34am we have both the 12 and 14 ramones for our 5 year old son, the 14 certainly is heavy, but he rides circles around his neighbourhood friends on their misfitting bmx-ish bikes. the single gear is probably the bigger limitation on trails with roots and little hills where they need power to keep the cranks turning.

2/25/2024 7:52am I’m interested in opinions on Commencal kids bikes, trying to understand if I’ve been unlucky or if there’s a theme. I’ve bought a Ramones 12 balance bike where the rear disc brake rotor adapter was machined horribly resulting in a warped rotor when tightened, and a Ramones 14 which was ridiculously heavy. I’ve got a friend that bought a Ramones...
