I had the chance to ride LOTS in September and the conditions were perfect. Clearly, this is what I'd call an "epic" ride, since you have to climb for 3 hours (more or less depending on your form) to earn this trail. While going up (and then down), you'll enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains, lakes and forests, which is part of the pleasure of this ride and makes great memories. As a side note, I'd like to add that Giant does NOT warranty the whole frame for life. In fact (and I learned it at my expense), only the main triangle is under lifetime warranty (and of course, only for the original owner).

Well, you can't deny that SRAM cassettes are systematically overpriced vs Shimano's. I understand that SRAM does not have the same production capacity, but still, their high-end cogsets (XG1199 XX1, for example) are almost 2 x the price of their Shimano counterparts (XTR, in this case). Then, you need to factor in the XD driver, which makes an even bigger impact on the wallet for a wear part. I understand your point regarding the trickle down effect, but as of now, you can get a 11-46 XT cassette for 50% less than a XG1150 cassette. As long as SRAM won't...

BTW, for all skeptics wondering why Yeti has such a loyal group of followers, this is not marketing hype. I got my first Yeti this year (2014 SB66c) and this is the real deal! This is one of those bikes that makes you want to ride them all the time and helps you become a better rider.

Not really. The ripped knobs issue was on the first generation of Hans Dampf and no other Schwalbe tires suffered from it, AFAIK. Schwalbe has a great line of tires, including the very popular Magic Mary, Hans Dampf and Nobby Nic and updated their tires with better sidewalls. A lot of people I know everywhere ride on Schwalbe.
