I wouldn't be planning to walk the whole way down with a 4 year old. There are parts that are fricken' STEEP on that access trail, unless they have done some serious upgrades for the WC. I'm talking 'dislodged rocks by uphill hikers gather enough momentum to kill people further down' and 'oh wow the patrollers have a full multi point rope access and rappelling setup on that platform so they can extract injured riders on a spine board from this section' steep.

9/18/2026 10:37am I'm bringing a young kid up as well. Can anyone share what I should expect in terms of walking the track down, after taking the gondola to the top? Is it the kind of thing I should avoid with a 4 year old? Or plan to throw him in the carrier backpack for the steeps? We'll definitely hike up from...

8/8/2023 4:27pm https://www.racecascadia.com/events These guys put on really fun events for all levels of experience. There are a couple of individual races left to go in the season, and there are also a couple of team events which are a ton of fun if you can pull together a couple of folks to ride with you. https://wednesdaynightworlds.bike/series-details/ This league hosts Wednesday night...

So strangely, there doesn't seem to be any DH fantasy for 2023... So I went ahead and created an app so we can all still play and follow along with the 2023 season. https://www.downhillmtbfantasy.com/ I've been testing for a couple days, hoping I got rid of all of the bugs. If I didn't, just let me know and I'll patch it ASAP. Also welcoming any feedback!

5/23/2023 9:11am HBO Max combined with Discover+ and was re-launched as the streaming service Max in the U.S. today. I haven't seen definitively whether UCI mtb events will be available on this service. But from what I can see when I login, there isn't any evidence there will be live event coverage or anything MTB or cycling related. I'm guessing this means...

3/9/2023 9:47pm I'm stoked on this news. I've wanted to watch Richie race World Cups for a long time. How does it work from a UCI Team perspective for an enduro rider like Richie to race DH? Looking at the 2023 Team List, Yeti doesn't have any DH riders and Richie is listed as EDR. Will he have to race under a...
