Our Prime 9 started with the Box Two 9s-E and we've expanded since. The Box Two Prime 9 is the same except for the shifter depending on if you wish to use single or multi-shift. The Box Two-E 9S will work on a non-e-bike but the existing one was single click while the Prime 9 offers both options.

Definitely something different, it doesn't work with my bike at all. lol Oh well, lesson learned. I bet it is an eBike specific derailleur hanger or something.

if your budget is super tight, just run it. i ran the single-shift shifter and while it wasn't ideal, it wasn't too horrible since the 9-speed gear jumps are pretty big. or just spend $49.99 on a box 2multishift shifter. the box 3 is only $39.99.

Thanks for the reply. my new question or concern from above... My question or issue is that I bought the e9 just before Seth showed the Prime 9 in his video (its all still new in the box), so now I'm wondering if I should keep it in the box or use it. What is going to be the difference.? My bike is not electric, nor am i that serious of a rider or ride that hard... maybe i just answered my own question, and should just use it.

But you can get Prime 9 in either single or multi-shift. My question or issue is that I bought the e9 just before Seth showed the Prime 9 in his video (its all still new in the box), so now I'm wondering if I should keep it in the box or use it.

We took our proven E9 drivetrain and applied the Prime 9 theory to all of our drivetrain packages. This means offering high-end lightweight Box One cassette as well as affordable Box Three and Four options. touched on in the article, but the multi-shifter is the only difference in Box 2. e-bike is single shift into easier gear. the multi shifter can go up to 3 easier gears with a lever push. when you get to Box 1 level, the machined cassette is entirely new.

This is a good idea that will appeal to many riders, it certainly does to me.. I’m currently riding a home made 6 speed 11-42 cassette and very happy with it. As others have said I’d tend to double or triple shift on previous 10 and 11 speed cassettes so I thought I’d just pair it down and so far so good. I mainly ride backwoods gravity stuff in the UK but have done a few long rides with it. Back in the day we all started pulling off the front cogs which lead to the production options we now...

I think it’s funny that people think they need more than seven or eight gears . If it’s the same ratio of gears why do we need more? We are more than seven gears right now because no one who rides a bike understands we’re better with seven. It works better, you have the same ratio and you saved a whole bunch of parts . You save money you saved weight you shaved shifting problems. Thank you for nine now bring us seven !!!

What is the difference between Prime 9 & the e9 drivetrain that is already out.? For instance - BX-DT2-09BXW-KIT vs BX-DT2-P9ASXW-KIT
