Rear doesn't sag on climbs, so balance is more easily conserved. Also a short one makes it easier to hop over and move rear wheel around stuff. Still a legit criticism for tall peeps. Chromag seems to have acknowledged on Doctahawk which jumps from 420-435mm between M/L and L. Timberjack and Japhy adjustable to 437mm Reviewer could just as well have chosen a Large--less portly--considering this bike's wheelbase, but XL is safer if one can't swap in a taller handlebar

I try to guess rider locations based on photo backdrops and incorrectly recognized body of water in last photo as an ocean. California is not Russia, unless you ask Florida Man. RUS face occurred as I noted the full name of your kneepad maker, and as a bonus, face was covered by a full face--obscurity sparkled. Rubber shortage means dt protection can't be extended all the way to the corner...a 1350mm hardtail will also be stable...using AXS will clarify cable routing, but what if it's a clutch/chain growth quirk. Danglers!
