I only moved the pivots up the down tube one half inch from the standard Santa Cruz location (Both bikes used Bullit swing arms. Old on the slope and newer on the DH.) So the change wasn't drastic. And any pedaling done was sprint level. So I never felt any difference from the standard.

Well, I don't know all of the science and curves and such. But when I made my two single pivot frames, which granted were for DH and slope and not long pedals, I moved the main pivot up so that when you pedal hard it pulls the rear wheel down into the ground for maximum grip.

What's up internet experts!?!?!? Hey, question for you. Why is Orange's single pivot in a different spot than pretty much every other MFG w/ single pivots? My understanding is that you'd want the pivot located on the chainline at sag to eliminate as much pedaling/chain influence on the suspension as possible. However, Orange claims they're the single pivot experts and they're in a totally different spot! I'd love to ride one someday...

Hey, not 100% sure what you mean about "weight of the pinion". The complete bike is about 1kg heavier than my old bike but I dont think that makes a difference. The gearbox itself weights around 2300g. What you really can feel is that the weight is more centered when you jump and the suspension performance is amazing. The most thing I love of the bike till now is the silence. With onyx hub and Belt drive you can drop to flat with only hearing the suspension work. For the gripshift I´m still not sure. I think the ergonomics are...

Yo dude! These are a no named carbon rim w/ LBS hubs. They get some direct to consumer awesomness with them, I run them on another bike I have and couldn't be happier. With regards to the weight - I'm pretty stoked at 33 lbs. I can't say I was really being a weight weenie on a 160mm bike, not really the point. Yes I could shave some grams going to air, but have you ever ridden coil? Oh. my. shit it's nice.
