BrianBuell Added a reply to 2026 Race Talk

The way in which it was presented "Built by the people it shaped" got me stoked as I wanna know more about who's behind the return while also figuring out ways in which I can support the series that raised me as a rider and racer. Stoked!

Wow, we've come a loooooooooooooong way, love seeing this! I got to ride up there after the chairlift, 2003 or so, still had some north shore features to send. Loved it up there on my Santa Cruz Bullet.

The internet told me his reach should be longer and his chainstays should be shorter.

TRex Liked a reply to forum topic Gwin not representing US at World Championships? (WTF?)

There's a few different ways to look at this, and given Gwin's response to not being named, it seems like this was just an oversight on his part. USAC is following their own rules, which is a good thing, and they are being consistent and clear. Also a very good thing. For the comments like "We need to remedy this" or "Fix this" I can't really agree with that. Of course, Gwin is one of the best in recent memory, but he hasn't been flat out the best American in the last three or so years. I blame the move...

BrianBuell Added a new video EVOLVE | A LOCAL QUEENSTOWN MTB MOVIE

4/23/2021 7:30am
2 years in the making and its finally here! Witness why so many people love riding in Queenstown and shred the insane trails it has to offer. Created by local film makers with local riders. Evolve MTB film follows the concept of the constant changing aspects of bikes to best suit the environment they are in. From Downhill bikes to enduro its got it all. See the famous spots Queenstown has to ride from the Gorge Road trails to the big jumps of Dream Track. I decided challenge myself from creating small MTB edits and deep dive into a movie...

Looking forward to this when I head out to sling some dirt. Wentz taught me how to gate start, coached me to a D2 Collegiate National Championship, had the sickest photo sequence from Durango sending it off the drop and has been an inspiration not only as a rider, but as an entrepreneurial trail builder and bike tester. Love ya Steve!

As a fan I love it! Almost too difficult to enjoy all the coverage. Good problem to have. As a rider, especially as someone who has tried to be competitive as a privateer it would be much more difficult to keep the bike running, however, I always loved having multiple DH races, maybe a chainless, to usually try and right...

Thank you Brandon for some truly awesome reads and videos! You will be missed. As for you Vital, DONT you dare think this lets you get out of reviewing DH bikes. We the people want more DH bike reviews!

Brandon, thanks for all the work you did here at vital that I have been able to benefit from. And best of luck with where you are going from here. Also, I second the motion to keep DH bikes and related products a regular part of Vital's reviews and move that Vital be the place where riders who love big bikes are never ignored, all in favor?
