11/29/2023 7:26pm I think it’s filming a deathgrip2 segment. Read somewhere awhile back they had to wait to film a couple parts so some riders would be in the right sponsored kit when it came out

11/17/2023 10:25am Sooo, after the first night of the inaugural Vegas Grand Prix how’s everyone feeling about turning DH into F1?

11/15/2023 9:07am Damn. I maybe anomaly but I got GCN+ for dh obviously but also to watch cyclocross through the winter. Could see something like this coming though given the cycling size compared to how big WBD’s portfolio is. Was reading the other day that they have been cancelling $90 million movies that are already shot just for the tax write off

11/12/2023 9:28pm They would have increased the same amount as DH. The rate increase relates to how many disciplines a team does ie if you have a Enduro, DH and XC teams then you saw the biggest increase and pay the most - 23k euros.

11/5/2023 11:27am There is outside money... in Europe... and in XC. Notice how many top XC, mostly Euro, riders have sponsor logos that North American's have never heard of? Obviously, Nino is a bit of an exception, but he has "Corner Card" at the front of his helmet along with numerous others. I've heard he even has a chocolate sponsor. The man was/is deep into the 7 figure mark. Kate Courtney's Redbull helmet is worth substantially more than the average DH rider annually. How many DH/Enduro riders do you see being sponsored by car dealerships? It pales in comparison to the XC...

10/17/2023 9:02am Those are big gaps though. Especially if they are trying to gain even the casual fans. Almost 2 months off, 2 races then a month off for the final. Going to take a lot of hype for people to remember the series is still going.

10/17/2023 8:59am Probably low unless you are North American or on a factory team. The month long break before it would play into it mentally and physically for some riders.

10/12/2023 11:17am world champs seems to have been packaged separately or at least the rights agreement for North America preceded the WB deal. In Canada and the US it was on FloBikes which is another streaming service to get and one you have to sign up for the whole year.

10/11/2023 11:55am Plus if you are on a registered team you don’t need the 40 points. I think you may see more riders form their own “privateer” teams next year as long as team fees don’t increase too much. you also earn points outside of the World Cup races. Currently there are 350 riders globally that have 40 or more points.
