Yes, the ideia was to gather a good number of results and make a statistical analysis of that. By doing this I'm diluting the contribution of other external variables. Let's see what happens Smile But from the results that people sent me on forums, and so on, I'm starting to think that the main contribution to the overall breakaway in...

Unless you're hitting multiple bumps in a row. Then the impact is worse. Not saying I don't like rearward axle paths, just that it is a tradeoff, like everything else.

Yes, but the wheel only comes back on the rebound phase, when there isn't an impact force... A rearward axle path is better to absorb small bumps. The front fork hás a slacker angle than most of rear axle paths (headangle)... Imagine that you ride the bike backwords, how do you think the front fork would react to bumps with that angle? Bye

Shocks are tuneable, but if you have a bad kinematics the overall performance can't be good. For instance, if your suspension is severely affected by braking forces there's nothing you can do to solve that with the shock settings (nowadays it's rare to find that extreme cases, but 10/15 years ago a lot of kinematics were bad, and far from the standards of today). Moreover, if you want pedaling performance, and if your bike has a very low anti-squat you have to increase LSC or pedal platforms to compensate the lack of anti-squat, and using more compression damping can decrease...

Hi guys! After Gwin's move from Specialized to Young Talent, I decided to do a kinematic comparison between DEMO S-works and TUES... As expected, they have a completely opposite suspension kinematics! Check it out! https://youtu.be/V5UFr-WuS6w I'm very curious to see if Gwins will still use a stiff suspension on the TUES. With a bike +50% more progressive than DEMO, a...

UPDATE: I already updated the video to include the special linkage of Gwin's Demo. It turns out that the special linkage only increases the Demo's progressivity by 9%... Which is still -33% less progressive than TUES The other parameteres were not significantly affected by that linkage. Bye
That link only increases the Demo's progressivity a bit (LR difference of +0.6)... Not even close to the progressivity of the YT Tues (LR difference of +1.3!). I personally love the progressivity of YT Tues (and Capra also!), but for smooth tracks or soft riders you won't get full travel... But who wants to go soft with a bike like...
Thank you guys! If you want to test the method you can schedule with weride.pt and ride here in Portugal :D no snow I garantee! :D eheh Regarding the method, I did some improvements since last week, I will post the full tutorial in the next few days. Bye
Smile In the next few days I will post more videos here explaining the details, advantages & disadvantages of this method. In order to get people start trying the method and optimizing the method... There are room from improvement Smile Bye
