I dunno, I work for a company that sells multiple brands that compete with each other on paper but have a different customer base in reality. In a similar industry. Brand differentiation works just fine if you offer a similar product that's marketed differently. Not that I think SC or GT share much at all, or ever made similar products.
99.5% of people looking for a GT or SC would have absolutely no fucking clue what Pon is lol. GT disappeared because all they had was their heritage, and that's not enough to carry a brand indefinitely as they pumped out mostly unappealing bikes year after year. I personally don't know anyone that considered buying one in recent memory. I...

This is one of the more boring, small-brained conspiracies in a while.

I ride exactly the same trails as I used to on the fleet of enduro bikes I've had over the years, but now I do it on an optic built like an enduro bike (but with 140/125 travel). Same trails, different dynamics. lots of...

I'm unable to update my personal information because in order to save the changes on that page, I need a valid phone number. Why do I need a valid phone number? Can I please not need one?
When I reviewed the Dominions for a mag back when they first came out, I discussed the design goals with Hayes themselves. They said that every aspect of the brake was designed to minimise resistance in the system while maximising stiffness. This includes seals, springs, and a larger ID for the hose than normal. This is the main reason that...
The light pull thing isn't a non-issue, it's just not an issue for everyone. Aside from avoiding a lot of arm pump with light pull levers, i also much prefer the feel and control, so i'd prefer to know what brakes are heavy to pull and what ones are light. Is that okay with you?

I used to run my Tues with a bit of tire/seat interference. It made noise but it wasn't like jamming the brakes on at all. I expect it depends heavily on the seat and how much interference there is but they're not gonna set their bike up so it fucks up their run if they use too much travel...
