I decided to make a balance bike for my daughter as I have the machines/materials and skilz to do it at work. The only bits I need to but were the headset (£8 from CRC), grips (£5), seatpost (£5 CRC), Hope seat QR (£13) and saddle (£12). The material was free and all the machining was done in my own time.
