Not sure that Outside has any cash to buy anything, all of outdoors is taking a post covid dive. Unless they are sitting on some revenue that is hidden in other channels? Apparel is not doing well. MTB bubble has burst. Main article on Outside's home page is: https://www.outsideonline.com/adventure-travel/destinations/north-ameri… Looks like a clickbait SEO CNN article. Not the move of...
The industry is in a bad spot. Brands are losing sales. Race teams are shutting down. Ad dollars are drying up. How long before large corporate entities see the writing on the wall and shut own or simply sell out sites like Pinkbike where they have descent traffic but no way to actually make money outside of industry ad sales...

It's up to the riders to make themselves relevant in the current market not up to the brands or the race series. If a rider outside the top 5 doesn't have a strong social presence and a way to actually sell the product they use. They will be cut from their team or simply die a slow death on a...
Yup. fokk me. too many little league parents thinking little grom grom is the next Gwinn. "if only the UCI didn't cancel this race... he was riding soo good... only 15 seconds off the pace... we needed that 17th place so we can send 43 PDF files to team managers and ask for free bike parts"

I'll put your post into better context or at least how i read it. "Gutted For any tent campers who made the trip to Burning Man. Lots of these kids and their parents are sacrificing big to try to make the dream happen." empathy is for actual sad situations like Maui. Not a canceled mtb race.

Bitter? No. I've been rained out of many an event. We had a blast at those events. We lived it up. Took in the town. Enjoyed a bye weekend. We didn't have time to complain about the race or the organizers. We certainly didn't feel sorry for ourselves or worry about the credit card bill. You're not living until you combine beer with fondue and puke cheese strings in an alley in some ski town in europe at 4AM.

Good life lesson for them. Life's not fair and weather is the weather. I feel no sorrow if someone makes bad financial choices in life. Also. They are in Europe. If they can't find a positive and a teachable moment out of this and get their money's worth. They aren't living life right. I've watched parents pour millions into trying to get their kid pro in Moto. Selling houses. Living out of RV's. You watch their kid race 1 time and you can tell they aren't going to make it pro. Stupid people win stupid prizes. Truth is a hard...

No way that many have broken. They haven't sold that many. There's just a bunch of angry types on the internet trolling a premium brand. Not sure why they care. GX cranks are 80.00. If these guys are blowing 5 Devs at the rate they claim... They would be blowing up frames, wheels, suspension.

So XO's without the holes and a matte silver color, probably 600 - 650g's with ring. Main issue with GX is the length coming in at 170 or 175. Wonder if they were smart enough to offer shorter sizes? Probably not anything shorter than 165.
