Just a followup to a few things from earlier. I tried an MRP SXg bash guide - the lower guide makes more noise than it solves. I could hear the chain hitting it, and the little bit of rubber it has lining it isn't enough to silence. Plus running an OChain, I had to run both the upper and lower guides fairly far away to clear the OChain. I also tried the STFU finned tape, but the adhesive won't stick to my Santa Cruz chainstay protector. I wanted to use the STFU tape to supplement the stock protector, and the double sided tape just won't stick. I also tried double sided Gorilla tape which I've had good luck with in the past but that also peeled right up.
Either way, it's pretty damn quiet now that I figured out the mastic tape on crank arm thing.
Previously I thought the T Type clutches really sucked because of all my chain noise but I have now realized my bike sounds like a shopping cart because the side of the chain hits the cog beside it and jingles and reverberates like mad. The chain has virtually no clearance, which I assume is standard. When you lightly tap the chain or the cassette with your finger, its like your playing the triangle. Landing two degrees sideways makes it sound like a shit.
What options are there for this? Hot waxing your chain to give some damping? Belt conversion kit?

It should be possible to fit appropriately sized o rings between few of the low end gears, that should help with the ringing

Waxing your chain will probably help, but if not you should do it anyway
It should be possible to fit appropriately sized o rings between few of the low end gears, that should help with the ringing
