2026 MTB News and Announcements

Press releases, announcements, and talking about it. We thought it would be a good idea to fire up this one convenient thread as the go-to place to post breaking MTB product and industry news (don't worry, the juicy stuff will definitely be shared and talked about in the main Tech Rumors thread just as usual).

Expect anything from a couple of pics and a short blurb to full-on press releases with the marketing fluff that we all love and cherish. And of course, chime in with your thoughts, reactions, and any news that we might have missed!

Propain Updates the Spindrift with New Colors and Build Kit Naming Convention

Propain makes the Spindrift for riders who need a freeride bike that can deal with anything from a pedal-powered enduro adventure to a week in the bike park. It can be built up with a single or a dual crown fork, while still taking a regular wide-range drivetrain and a dropper post if you want it to.

For 2026, Propain is giving the Spindrift some fresh new colors, and an updated naming convention that is more in line with what the bike is.

The Spindrift AL comes in the new Midnight Blue color, with build kits starting at €3,099.00 in the base spec. The Spindrift CF will be available in two new colors going forward: Strawberry Lipgloss and Oat Milk, with build kits starting at €3,699.00 in the base spec. The existing Spindrift Park variant is being renamed to become the Spindrift Dual Crown which should more accurately reflect the true character of this bike (presumably Propain not wanting to limit this bike to just "park" riding, but rather a wider audience also interested in "speed" and "gravity" in the broader sense). The Spindrift AL Dual Crown starts at €3,399.00 in the base spec.

HOPE LAUNCHES THE 20MM GRAVITY STEM

Hope’s new super short 20mm Gravity Stem has been developed to improve control and optimize rider positioning.

stem.jpg?VersionId=NpdvZhzn60aT4BVDMwfP3klBpb4

Following feedback from some of the fastest World Cup downhill and enduro riders, Hope set out to design a stem that brings the rider's grip position more in line with the fork's steering axis. This gives riders a more upright riding position, distributing weight more evenly towards the center of the bike.

The result is a more stable, neutral riding position, with less weight through your arms to help reduce arm pump and fatigue. The super-short length, combined with the alignment of your grips with the steering axis, also helps keep your lines tight on the trail. The stem also features an integrated 35mm of additional stack.

Propain Introduces New Color and Spec for the Rage CF

NEW LOOK

A look that catches the eye: the new Strawberry Lipgloss frame color gives the Rage a distinctive, vibrant character. But be quick: only a small number of frames are available in this color.

NEW SPEC

EXT VAIA

The EXT Vaia is one of the few upside-down double-crown forks on the market. With 170 to 200 mm of travel, it combines versatility with uncompromising performance. The innovative HS3 air spring system with two positive chambers delivers exceptional sensitivity and reliable bottom-out protection, while high- and low-speed compression and rebound can be fine-tuned independently. A standout highlight: thanks to the clever cam-stem design, a single crown offers two offsets (44/48 mm) – for maximum individuality in steering geometry.

EXT ARMA V4 COIL SHOCK

The EXT Arma V4 is the natural successor to its already legendary predecessor, taking damper performance in the MTB segment to a new level. The position-sensitive PSR (Position Sensitive Rebound) system prevents harsh top-out, while the frequency-dependent, externally adjustable HBC damping provides progressive support in the final 20% of travel – allowing for softer springs and improved traction and control. Highlight: the DLC-coated chrome-moly steel shaft ensures minimal friction and maximum durability, while the low-pressure air reservoir at just 55 psi adds extra sensitivity.

suspension

Both the new Strawberry Lipgloss frame color and the EXT suspension package are only available in small numbers. Importantly, the frame and suspension can be selected independently of each other in the configurator and are not linked.

My first year on a rage this season. The bike is an absolute sled. If i had to pick something to complain about, it would be some downtube cable rattle. Kitted in saint and ohlins i couldn’t be happier w the bike
