Has anyone created a modern penny farthing full sus bike? Normal geometry, BB location, and suspension travel, but designed around a massive front wheel and as small as possible in the rear?
Obviously this is not an ideal bike, and would likely not perform well but it would be super entertaining to see how it rides.
That would be fun to see. I say start simple with a hardtail though.
You'd have to mod it pretty aggressively, I'm sure. With all the standard geo, that big a wheel size differential would make it a wheelie/loop-out machine. Do you guys remember those old-school "layback" BMX seatposts? You could run one of those, but rotated 180 degrees so it cheats the seat forward to get a steeper seat angle, then add a bunch of reach in the stem to match and maybe it would work.
Maybe Seth will read this and give it a go? It seems to be his kind of thing.
27.5/29 = Mullet
26/29 or 27.5/32 = Super Mullet
26/32 = ULTRA Mullet
20/32 = Ultra Mullet OF DEATH!
Don’t know if this counts as a bicycle but I saw this wild dude at the megavalanche a few years back
Ooooh, I remember this bike. 2019 or 2021?
2019 according to my photos app. First race I ever did lol
