Here's a question: Has anyone had a jacket get gross, mildewy, or dank from living in a downtube? Or greasy and dirty?

Asking because I've got a tiny packable jacket currently living in Russian stacking doll arrangement, sealed in a plastic bag zipped up in a Santa Cruz downtube storing bag stored in my Megatower downtube, but it seems like a terrible idea for any garment to live packed that tightly for that long in the downtube of a bicycle. Luckily I live in Los Angeles so my bike doesn't see too much moisture, but still.

From the corrosion to the co2 that lived and died in my wife’s Bronson that jacket could be moldy. However we do live in Vancouver Island and it’s pretty dank. There’s lots of mud and bike washes happening.
my stumpy 15 alloy is a mess in the downtube storage.

I like to start cold mornings with a Patagonia Houdini windbreaker, and end up taking it off about 15 min into the ride once I'm warmed up, stuffing it into the Glovebox.  I've definitely noticed it was damp after I rinsed the bike off (also notice the bags get damp), so I try to not store it in the bike long term.  I do really like having that option though, and it's the best use of frame storage that I've tried (no real downsides).

Maybe next time you eat a whole package of beef jerky you could take the little DO NOT EAT packet out of it and throw it in the bag with your jacket.  The upside being your jacket will now smell like beef even more then before!

BREAKING NEWS!!! California Grizzly Bear Makes Brief Return From Extinction To Eat TEAM ROBOT During Los Angeles Area Mountain Bike Ride

According to the Bear's attorney, Sponsel "smelled like beef jerky" and "was practically asking for it."

I keep looking for a good co2 holder.  Hold a couple, most seem to be designed to go around a bottle cage, I want something narrow.  Due to M frame I don’t have room for a lot there.

Also on a M frame (Transition Smuggler) and haven't found anything useful that will fit.

I'm intrigued by this thing though, especially since the tool geeks over at the Escape Collective seem to like the Daysaver tools: https://daysaver.fun/products/the-complete-essentials-value-combination

Ive been interested in this. Funny enough, Pinkbike article just came out on it. What bummed me was in the comments there are multiple people saying that they either broke the tool or the bits fall out too easily and they lose them. Thats a very small review group on it but stunk to see negative feedback. I am still interested but a little more cautious now at it. Curious if anyone else uses the daysaver stuff and can offer feedback
