There are several bike brands that I would consider buying from if they ditched Superboost.

Pivot?
Evil?
Knolly?
Devinci?

All bikes I'd consider if not for superboost.

Any other brands I should know to place on the "bad decision" pile?

WAO...?

Chainstay length and weight doesn't matter that much. I ride the same trails and the same speed and in the same style on my 430mm CS 2015 spesh enduro 15kg, as I do on my 2023 456mm CS, 26kg Giant reign E+.

Pretty much all of those.  I had 3 Evil's in a row and I absolutely loved how they rode, when they switched to Superboost I ended up getting a Transition.  I have several mountain bikes that are all 148, and I've had several times where I've borrowed a wheel or wheelset from one to put on another.  In addition, multiple companies are making DH frames with 148 spacing so the whole argument of "Superboost allows for stiffer wheels" seems overblown.

This is exactly why I'm not interested in SuperBoost. I know that if I have two complete bikes, they'll be different enough that I'll be sharing parts (wheels included) with the intention of blurring those lines sometimes...so I need things to work back-and-forth.

Everyone needs to learn how to ride on a hardtail.

Should have to pass a test to buy a squishy bike.

I don't ride anymore due to MS. But in the vaguest way it relates to Superboost. In my case, I was back to living in Santa Cruz after building a house for my parents. I was building a "Boat House." for a doctor in Aptos and shuttling that trail that Tyler McCall built for a video with Kyle Straight. On the way to the drop in spot from the shuttle, riding sat down on a fire road the grippy heal of my Five Tens caught on the chainstay of my 150 spaced homemade DH bike and I went straight over the bars to the dome. The next week I started having neurologic issues, basically losing the use of my right arm. A chiropractic appointment led to a neurologist appointment lad to a spinal tap and massive infusions of steroids and i had MS.

But back to that Boost crap. What about us big footed guys? We need some damn room for our shoes man! Big up the Big Foot Tribe!
