So, avoiding the fact that you're too slow and out of shape to land a spot on a World Cup team, which team would you like to be on? I'm guessing that we'll hear a lot of Syndicate, Trek, Lapierre and Spesh, but I'm gonna throw a wrench in the works right from the start and say the Dirt Orange team for me. First off, I'm a sucker for single pivot bikes, of which I believe Dirt Orange are the last team to still be riding. Secondly, perhaps they're just faking it for their videos, but they really seem to be the team having the most fun at and between races. What's your take?
I think i'd struggle to choose bewteen GStadt Scott and the Syndicate, I mean with Scott you have Cloudio Calouri as your boss, get to ride a Gamber and hang out with Brendog. With the Syndicate, you got so much experience to learn from with Peaty Minaar and Ratty and you got Kathy Slesser looking out for you. the problem with the Syndicate is i think i'd fall into a bottomless vortex of bikes, booze and hookers, burn out and get kicked of the team. with Scott i reckon I could keep it all on the level, seems like a very professional and pleasant place to work.
To answer your question, I'd have to pick Specialized because I'd learn so much from Gwin and Troy and benefit from the whole setup they have, especially regarding my riding style. Seeing just how Gwin works would be an amazing learning experience to get prepared for future dominance.
