World Cup in the USA?

thoughts and opinions about a having a world cup race in the u.s.?

as a Colorado native I really think that trestle bike park could pull it off. but they would probably have to put the track on the mary jane side of the mountain. its steep and rocky so all they have to do is build a wc worthy track on that part of the mountain.

windham (next weekend) is in the USA and is on the schedule again next year. the angel fire world cup in 05 was fun for sure. vail hosted world cups in 1999, 2000 and world champs in 2001. that track was AWESOME! (watch video of world champs here).

considering the red tape trestle has to go through for new trail construction w/ the forest service, it'd probably be really difficult to get a new trail built for a world cup. i agree w/ you though, it would be necessary.

Dooood, don't forget about Lake Tahoe with Squaw Valley in '99.

Young and angry Weir built a course that Nico was afraid of and the unknown Aussies shredded!

Bring it back to the West Coast!
I vote Mammoth.
