I'm not racing this year, but I'll be there. I'm "sponsoring" a young ripper from Aptos. (Check out Devon Kjaer Freedom 40 on You Tube.) He's 11 and nearly as fast as me. That is, he pretty much keeps up with me when he's on a hardtail and I'm on a DH bike. He was going to race the DH on his hardtail, but I decided that he deserved a better chance, seeing as he'll be racing against 14 year olds. I got him on a Santa Cruz Bullit and kit and should get Fox suspension today. I can't wait to build it up and see what this kid can really do.

if you got your eyes on you can see Mr. Nick Simcik testing the shape he helped design of some new VP Components pedals we are developing for interbike launch... we will have some other new things in testing this week on a few bikes along side our existing products...

stickers and t shirts for all (while they last)...

and racing the DH and 4X and maybe the 35+ road race on Laguna Seca... its pretty fun...

I'll be there to build the pro pump track and hopefully race some DS and DH.

Pro pump event is being called Speed and Style. We're building mirror tracks with big, trickable jumps. Riders will race head to head with time bonuses for best style. It's after pro slalom, so it should be quite a show.

doin the annual 1 hour pilgrimage to sea beaver this year forsure! ;p

heard that not all the big times are going this year because first round of the WC is the following weekend.

This is true. Several of them will still be there, but not nearly as many as years past.

I heard that not only is the first WC the next weekend, but there is also a local race on the same track the weekend of Sea Otter which most of the WC teams are doing for extra practice. Maybe we'll see some all American podiums!
