Beech mtn is up next, if your curious about what to expect at Beech check out Elevated Trail Design's facebook page for lots of bike park and Pro GRT track pics https://www.facebook.com/elevatedtraildesign/.
ETD has been digging at Beech non stop for the past month and the whole mtn looks prime! Neko, Dakota Norton and Sean Leader were just there for some testing on the new Pro track. From what I've seen and heard from the builder the entire top of the track from start hut to the road crossing is all new, including a "Fear Factory" section... There are new park trails to freeride, and all of the existing trails have been given a full face lift this spring.
Come say whats up to me in the announcing booth at the race! See ya there -Trill

Now I do agree with olddogbmxer on USA cycling's Pro GRT promotion and media coverage. It's been very underwhelming to say the least. The individual events themselves have seemed to be stepping on on execution though which is good. An interesting and promising tidbit that I ran into yesterday is that Neko Mullaly will be one of the people serving on the USAC MTB commitee for this coming year. Neko is representing gravity race directors. I believe this committee helps craft the GRT, and when Neko is involved good things always happen.
Many thanks to vital for the awesome race coverage! Stuff like this report from Windrock back in March makes me stoked to keep pushing USDH http://www.vitalmtb.com/features/U-S-National-DH-Racing-is-Back-Windrock-Pro-GRT,1656
Looking forward to seeing what comes out of Vermont this weekend, best of luck to the racers!
an evolving track all weekend long provided for some fun filming. Will be uploading footage from today's finals hopefully later tonight or tomorrow!

Downhill Southeast heads to Jersey and Mtn Creek Creek for a "North South Showdown" next weekend. Registration is open (online only). The crew was firing at Massanutten last round and I know Mtn Creek will keep the vibes high.
Check out the full race reply show from Massanutten Let us know what you think of the coverage and subscribe to the Youtube Channel for more content during the season. Jack and the Vital crew are putting out the photo goods for DHSE as well, loved the gallery from Mass.
Stoked to get some tires on track for Friday practice before I start talking about bike racing all weekend!
So now we’ve got 4 regional DH series rolling in the US;
Downhill Southeast, Eastern States Cup, NW CUP, and Downhill Rockies.
Take one race from each of those series and make it a US National round. Then add in the Existing TN National at Windrock, Mtn Creek national, and USO???
Series could look like:
Round 1: TN National
Round 2: NW Cup Port Angeles
Round 3: Mountain Creek National
Round 4: Snowshoe DHSE
Round 5: Purgatory (or whichever round) DH Rockies
Round 6: Windham ESC
Round 7: US Open Killington
Maybe massage the schedule so some of the east coast round could sandwich up during the summer to make for an epic junior expert family road trip.
What do you say Vital forum folks?!? #USDH
