Has anyone checked out the String Bike? Looks like a pretty interesting new design. While chains are tried and true I think as technology and manufacturing improve something will eventually replace the traditional drivetrain for bicycles. These guys have an interesting first step. With enough tweaking and time it could be interesting to add on a downhill bike.

It doesn't look like a fluid motion like a chain driven bike gives you.

Crazy. It does seem to surge a bit.

Old days in the parking lot "anybody got an extra derailleur?"

Tomorrow in the parking lot "anybody got any dental floss?"

Nah, I´ll keep my chain.
Besides, I think we´ll get cold fusion before that makes it onto a production DH bike.
