Troy Lee Designs A1 MIPS Helmet
How to make your A1 better (Product Review)
The Good
Fit, looks, price.
The Bad
TLD came out with the A2 so you're out of style.
Overall Review
There are already several reviews on Vital for the widely popular A1 hemet. This review focuses on the replacement liner that will make you love your A1 as much as when you first got it. I stumbled on this liner while snagging the A1 replacement velcro and visor screws. The new design for the liner has fewer lines of pads. That made me think it would be less comfortable, but that was not the case. The padding is a little beefier on the new version than the old one. That made for an even better fit than I had before. A benefit from the reduced number of pad lines is better airflow which makes...

Troy Lee Designs Sprint Jersey
The Good
Fit, breathability, styling
The Bad
loose threads, cuffs
Overall Review
I have always been a fan of Troy Lee’s jerseys, although I will admit some of the designs are a little much for me. The sprint jersey however seemed to be a good balance of bright colors, without making you look like a clown, which was a bonus. My favorite part of the jersey has got to be the fit and feel. It has a slightly slimmer fit to it, so it does not look out of place on a trail ride, but also still works as a DH jersey. I do not wear any body armor on my chest or arms, but it does fit a slimmer back protector under the jersey if you want, and I am sure elbow pads would fit fine as well...

Troy Lee Designs Air Gloves
Comfortable Gloves that Don't Hold Up Well (Product Review)
The Good
many color options, good grip and breath-ability, price is right
The Bad
don't hold up
Overall Review
I purchased these new, they were my first set of TLD gloves, I loved them immediately and wore them every time I went out, my other gloves gave me the look of disgust and made me feel like a traitor every time I went out. After about a years worth of use, the seam on one of the index fingers let go. When my other gloves found out they all laughed at me and I got the whole I told you so speech. I still use my holy TLD gloves but now I make sure my Fox Dirtpaw's are in the rotation. I would say we have a decent working relationship but I still get dirty looks whenever I wear them. To summarize...

Troy Lee Designs D2 Composite Helmet
Poor Quality, Don't Be Mislead (Product Review)
The Good
It looks nice
The Bad
doesn't fit well, poor cheek pad and liner adhesion, shallow chin bar
Overall Review
I purchased the newer version of this helmet and was disappointed immediately. I have always purchased a large in all my helmets and this one felt more like a med than a large and after purchasing a TLD A1 Enduro helmet I fell in love. I figured the same quality and workmanship that was in my A1 I would find in the D2 but I was wrong on all counts. the cheek pads held in my little velcro buttons one of which was unstuck right out of the box. The chin bar felt too shallow (not enough coverage for my chin). Very basic D ring fastener, even my Kali Protectives had a button to manage the excess...

Troy Lee Designs A1 MIPS Open Face Helmet
Best Helmet Ever Owned (Product Review)
The Good
Comfortable, Cool, Easy to Adjust, Safe and Looks Amazing to Boot.
The Bad
Can't think of anything
Overall Review
This is my first TLD Helmet. I based my purchase off other reviews. Safe to say I was not disappointed. This helmet is the most comfortable helmet I have ever owned. My last helmet was designed in a way where sweat would pool up and then if I moved a certain way a waterfall of sweat would pour down into my face. This helmet I don't even notice the sweat, it has great cooling and breathability, great visability and it is very light.

Troy Lee Designs Skyline Air Jersey
Overall Review
The warmer months are finally here, which means drier trails and longer days. As mountain bikers, we know all too well that this also means we’re going to get a lot hotter and a lot sweatier. There is not a lot you can about this except dress accordingly, and that is precisely what Troy Lee Designs set out to help you with when creating the Air series of gear. From gravity to trail, there’s something here for all kinds of riding, and we’ve been putting the stuff to the test over the past month or so to let you know if it will keep you as cool as it looks. Skyline Air Jersey Highlights Skyline...
