Maxxis High Roller Tire
The Good
Nice upright braking traction, fairly reasonable climbing, good volume for rocky AM/FR/DH
The Bad
Minimal edit: 'sketchy leaning grip if you lean in gradually' and thorn protection also minimal
Overall Review
The 2.35 version of the High Rollers I have are similar to Kenda Nevegal 2.35s, although faster rollling, however minus a row of knobs that you are going to need if you lean the bike between 30-40 degrees on any surface, something seems missing at this lean angle and you seem to free float for a bit, and then suddenly the jello-like outer knobs get their time to shine but just fold on you. High Roller? Yep it's gambling for sure, on whether or not you are going to face plant on a high speed

Truvativ Hussefelt 1.1 DH Crank
The Good
Cheap, very robust, Howitzer BB is compatible with many chain guides
The Bad
Heavy, Saints and Hozfellers are better
Overall Review
If you need a cheap crank-set where weight isn't really a problem these are ideal, especially if you live somewhere rainy or are likely to power wash your bike after a ride. If weight is a problem, a Stylo might be a good option

SRAM PC-991 Cross Step 9-speed Chain
The Good
Power-link, light weight, price, works very well with other Sram/Truvativ components
The Bad
Some people complain they break, but I haven't noticed the problem
Overall Review
I've noticed the Sram chains available in Europe are made in Portugal. These I've noticed are better than their similar Asian cousins, that are made in China. I've noticed that with a mostly Sram (rear derailleur and cassette) drive-train are really slick but that Shimano chains jump around a fair bit, so better to stick with the same manufacturer here as the rest of your drive-train. Power-link rocks and is easy to use and better than KMC missing links.

Point One Racing Podium Flat Pedal
Godly Grip
The Good
Best-pedals-ever. 5.10s stick to them like glue, they're tough as nails and the bearings last.
The Bad
None whatsoever
Overall Review
If the bearing bulge is an issue for you than you simply have some whack-ass foot placement

Wanted to like them
The Good
Narrow profile, light, beautifully made.
The Bad
Could not stand the bearing bulge at the pedal/crank interface. I like my feet as close to the crank arm as possible. I could ride these without feeling the bulge through my shoe. It bothered me.

Very expensive
Overall Review
Igive it a 3 because of the bulge and price.

Crankbrothers 5050 X Flat Pedal
The Good
They are flat pedals, and have good grip, they cant stand the hits (I do hit them a lot, perhaps I should shorten my crankarms). so far no mechanical problems with them.
The Bad
quite heavy and bulky , pricey for around 20 bucks more you can find slimmer flat pedals.
Overall Review
Nothing extraordinary but they do their job as they are supposed to.

Five Ten Freerider Shoe
Great confy shoe
The Good
Is light and the sole is very grippy at the beginning, it has protected me from direct hits at the toes, you can walk and push if needed and they look good.
The Bad
after a year of use, the outer sole hast start to come off and has become a bit stiff (they are confortable and you can still walk, but they dont grip as before)
Overall Review
All in all, I would buy them again, love the style (going for the white ones in my next pair)

2011 Kona Five-0 Bike
The Good
Decent front end (travel, usable 68 degreeHT angle and 20mm axle).
The Bad
Heavy, so-so parts, ISIS BB, Better with Hussefelt Howitzer and X7 surely?
Overall Review
Have the 2009 bike, this bike to me doesn't seem much like a DJ/urban bike, but it does seem like a light free-ride bike. To me if you want a hard-tail why not a 4x bike or maybe a Giant STP or SC Chameleon?

Point One Racing Podium Flat Pedal
The Good
Very large platform, low profile for better clearance, durable pins that are easy to replace, light, durable body that takes hits well.
The Bad
Expensive-but worth it.

These pedals paired with FiveTen shoes perform amazing and just inspire confidence. You never give the pedals a second thought, they just work.

WTB Prowler MX Tire
The Good
I was rolling the widest version on some semi-rocky terrain in Durango. They grip nicely in actual dirt, or on slickrock. For me, they didn't so well on gravelly surfaces.
The Bad
Version I had was a bit thin in the skin. Suffered a couple flats from rock punctures and a catctus. To be fair, the cactus flat would have done any tire in.
Overall Review
For dirt = this tire is money. For mixed surfaces, not my favorite.
