ABOUT FRAMEWORKS
I was lucky enough to race 16 seasons on the World Cup circuit as a professional DH racer. During that time, I learned the development process to take a bike from concept to race ready each season.
In 2022, motivated to take a shot at building my version of the fastest bike on track, I designed my own bike and had it fabricated to compete in the World Cup series. My brother, Logan, documented the process as we went, bringing exposure to our sponsors who funded our season.
The goal of Frameworks was simple - build a downhill bike for World Cup racing that I was proud of. We wanted a stable bike through the geometry and predictability through the kinematics, in a package that was easy to live with. Frameworks began as a garage project three years ago, and through each race we’ve entered, the bike has been refined to where we are today.
Our 2026 race bikes are ready for the upcoming World Cup season. We’re excited to share all of the details and to offer the same frames our team is running for sale.

2026 DOWNHILL FRAME

Our downhill frame is a purpose-built tool designed for the job of going fast. There are no shareholder expectations that need to be fulfilled. It doesn’t need to look a certain way or use a particular suspension layout.
As racers, we value performance and require reliability. Our frame is the most direct answer to the challenges a World Cup downhill race weekend has to offer. With each test session, race weekend, and every time the riders pushed us for more, we shaped the bike to what it is today.
The result is something we are proud of, a frame that offers the stability, predictability, and reliability we set out to achieve.

STABILITY THROUGH GEOMETRY
Our geometry is the foundation that gives the rider control and stability through a neutral body position. This provides a secure feeling to push the limits and means if things do get out of sorts there’s room for the rider to react and correct.
Each size frame has a unique front and rear center length to keep things proportional and balanced across the entire size range. Paired with a low bottom bracket height and healthy wheelbase, riders can confidently push the bike and themselves while maintaining control.
The high stack gets the handlebars up and promotes a tall attack position on the bike. This is ideal for taking on steep, technical terrain at speed, and allows the front end of the bike to be loaded hard while feeling calm.
PREDICTABILITY THROUGH KINEMATICS
Our kinematics are engineered to react in a familiar, consistent way, encouraging speed through the predictability they bring to the rider.
Leverage ratio curves are built with more progression in the first half of the travel to promote a supple feel, while quickly building usable support through the mid-stroke and utilizing full travel under large impacts.
The mid-pivot layout enables an axle path that moves just under 6mm rearward from zero travel to the sag point, helping the bike absorb small bumps, and ends just shy of 15mm forward at bottom out.

Testing showed our athletes spend most time between sag and 120mm of travel. Accordingly, the axle only changes position horizontally by 4mm in this range, limiting the growth of the rear center and allowing for confident handling and a consistent cornering feel.
This axle path drives a higher anti-squat value, which helps with an efficient pedaling platform when standing and sprinting. That said, we recommend pairing the frame with a chain-damping device like an Ochain to help with comfort at the feet.
The braking values are [you guessed it] consistent across the entire range of travel. Anti-rise in the 75-60% range allows the rider to keep a neutral position in the bike and the suspension to be supple while braking.

LEVERAGE RATIO ADJUSTMENT
The DH frame has an adjustable leverage ratio, with three positions to bolt the shock extender into the mainframe via the provided stainless steel bolt and Nyloc nut. Changing the position fine-tunes the characteristics of the suspension.

- The bike ships in the progressive setting [34.7% progression]. It is the most sensitive and supple off the top while providing ample bottom out resistance.
- The middle setting [32.6% progression] is a blend of the bookend settings.
- The linear setting [30.7% progression] provides a more supportive platform off the top, while keeping a consistent feel throughout the entire range of travel.

2026 ENDURO FRAME

The Enduro frame was in our mind since the beginning of the Frameworks project. The goal was to have the same level of descending comfort from the DH frame built into a bike that can be pedaled to the top of the hill.
This is the bike we reach for the most living in the Southeast, so we applied what we learned developing the DH frame and built an efficient, fast and precise platform. It’s at home in the bike park and on rough, natural trails, making it a great choice for fun rides, training sessions, and enduro racing.

It’s the downhill rider’s daily driver.

STABILITY THROUGH GEOMETRY
Similar to the DH frame, each size of the Enduro frame has a unique front and rear center length to provide a balanced riding position regardless of the rider’s height. The tall stack and low BB move the hands and feet further apart bringing in the planted, aggressive descending stance.
The steep seat tube angle provides a comfortable, efficient, and forward seated position that helps limit suspension movement while climbing. Dropper post insertion depth was also a high priority, so the uninterrupted seat tube allows for loads of post insertion, enabling the saddle to be dropped low and fully out of the way for descending.
We built the Enduro frame around an MX wheel setup, just like the DH. We find the traction and roll over the 29 front wheel provides, paired with the increased body clearance and agility of the smaller rear wheel, is best for the type of trails this bike is designed for.

PREDICTABILITY THROUGH KINEMATICS
The Enduro frame retains a comfortable axle path for managing bumps while limiting rear center length changes in the areas of travel riders spend most time in [sag-100MM]. This drives the consistent cornering feel our athletes and test riders prefer.

The anti-squat value limits unnecessary suspension movement during seated pedaling, but calms the amount of pedal kick to an amount where a chain-damping device isn’t absolutely recommended.

Anti-rise is tuned to keep the suspension active under braking without getting so light that the rider is pitched forward. Calm and neutral braking brings predictability and allows riders to brake harder and later.
FRAME CONSTRUCTION

6061-T6 FRONT TRIANGLE
We’ve found aluminum to have the best blend of strength, weight, durability, and ride feel. It also provides us the flexibility to iterate on geometry and kinematics as we continue to test and learn.
CARBON FIBER REAR TRIANGLE
Our rear triangle saves a significant amount of mass from the parts of the bike moving with the suspension and ensures the brake mount, rear hub spacing, and suspension pivots are perfectly aligned for reduced friction.
CNC BOTTOM BRACKET LUG
The bottom bracket lug uses a two-piece hollow design, with its crucial dimensions captured in the post heat-treat machining process. This allows for precise, repeatable manufacturing and ultimately a higher quality end product. Its shape allows all of our mainframe tubes to be straight. Tubes without bends are stronger and more precise.
SHOCK EXTENDER
We mount our shock with the reservoir side down, reducing the mass moving as the suspension cycles through its travel.
The shock extender allows the shock’s external reservoir to be turned ninety degrees, reducing the clearance needed in the front triangle and limiting the amount of belly in the frame, while using straight tubes.
The very short overall length of our shock extender has no negative effect on rear shock longevity. In fact, it provides an extra degree of freedom when mounted in the frame to help reduce side loading on the shock.
DETAILS
FOX FLOAT X2
Frameworks athlete’s shock of choice is the Fox Float X2, making it an easy choice to pair with our production frames. The air spring allows for high-resolution changes and the damper offers a wide range of compression and rebound adjustability to suit personal preference or specific terrain.
Our team worked closely with Fox to develop tunes that complement the frame’s leverage ratio, providing a calm, controlled ride feel while maintaining sensitivity and grip. The DH shock tune is identical to what Asa raced while setting the fastest time of the day in the World Cup final at Mount Saint Anne last season.

BURGTEC KIT
Frameworks frames come spec’d with a Burgtec seat collar, rear axle, and UDH. The details matter to us and Burgtec’s passion for racing and commitment to quality make them a natural complement to our frames.
PROTECTORS
It’s hard to go fast on a noisy bike. Our custom molded downtube, chainstay, and seatstay protection keep chain noise to a minimum and protect the frame in the most vulnerable spots.
CABLE ROUTING
External cable routing keeps maintenance simple and fast - no extra time spent bleeding brakes or struggling to fish cables through the frame. It’s easy to diagnose any problems with lines or housings and ensures there are no rattles or noises.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT
Easy to live with doesn’t only apply to how we design the frames and the features they have. None of those things matter if there’s an issue that doesn’t get solved quickly. Our team is small, but we care. In the unlikely event of a problem, a real person will be working with you to solve it.
Our frames come with a five-year warranty, covering material or manufacturing defects, along with a crash replacement policy to help with damaged parts outside the warranty coverage.

Since downtime during the race season is not an option, Frameworks spares will be available on-site at the 2026 Downhill Southeast, Monster Energy Pro Downhill, and UCI World Cup DH races. We are committed to honoring warranty/crash replacement claims on-site and helping with Frameworks specific small parts needs whenever possible to keep you running.
Frameworks is committed to the highest level of after-sales support. It’s simple: if our riders have an issue, we will make it right.
