Apparently these are still being raced. Richie has been on and off them with both bikes. Curious if anyone on here rides with one and your genuine thoughts on the feel.

I had the original Hopey on my DH bike back in the day. On a bike with a 67* head angle, short wheelbase, and ported-rod Boxxer, it was literally life changing. Made the bike significantly more planted and stable, to the point it was it was terrifying to ride a bike without one.
When I returned to DH after a 10 year hiatus, I was too lazy to buy a new mount, but it turns out a 63* HA and fork with actual shims goes a long way to bridge the gap. The damper would still be beneficial, but I don't know if it would be $500 worth.
