@jumpman: I agree, I think they wanted to keep the price down, and I don't mind that you don't get 80 extra springs you'll never use, a la Fox. Was mostly trying to account for the discrepancy between claimed weight and real weight. I thought maybe Ian Collins took his stock ti spring out and put in a firmer, heavier steel one. Guess not.
