unskilled Added a reply to 2018 Racing Rumors
2/5/2018 8:39am I would doubt they would make that connection. Not a lot of marketing departments like to go around saying their bike isn't the best and that others are and that they *NEEDED* to catch up. Most are content with saying whatever they're doing is the most bleeding-edge boostiest thing around.

unskilled Added a comment about press release BikeYoke Launches the REVIVE MAX Dropper
1/24/2018 11:01am Less we forget GT had 34.9mm posts in 2013 on the 2014 Sensor and Force. That size never really took flight. Surprised evil and specialized decided to do it at all.

11/28/2017 10:16am Owned by Pacific, same people who are doing Mongoose mass bikes. It is a brand of a by-gone era. It won't come back. Now or ever.

unskilled Added a reply to Do tire inserts mean it's time to rethink tire design?
11/15/2017 12:36pm Might be more beneficial to wrap your head around the understanding of how a tire is, or could be constructed. I am no expert on tire machines, but you might be asking more than the current machines can do. I do find it rather odd that people are putting a ton of weight into carbon wheels with these inserts and...

11/13/2017 10:34am It is pretty full on with a 65 hta. I am going to switch it back next week to stock to "remember" what it felt like. Probably isn't necessary for my trails but it has helped at speed and has kept it planted when climbing. New bb height with 65hta is 345mm measured. Incase that helps.

unskilled Added a comment about bike check Canfield Riot - Full Coil
11/10/2017 10:51am How's the pike conversion, i am assuming TF tuned. i was curious if it makes sense to do for my own rig. going ccdb coil next week. The frame is so basic in terms of small parts, no torque, and minimal parts, i like the idea of coil to compliment the bolt-action reliability of the frame.

unskilled Added a comment about video Can Danny MacAskill Break the New Santa Cruz Reserve Carbon Wheels?
10/4/2017 7:38am
I do enjoy Santa Cruz's "we beat the shit out of this to show it is strong" approach to marketing. They did the same thing with frames a few years back. I remember calling a guy at Boeing who's frame was not going to be warrantied. He was responsible for the carbon layup of the main wing section of whatever Boeing plane had it. He laughed in my face and told me that the bike industry is in the stone ages of carbon. I still LOL at us for how we talk about it.
