You could use the same argument but suspension can be tweaked to make a bad bike work and vice versa, tyres can't. Brakes can also be tweaked to preference, tyres can't. Though not all brakes and suspension are created equal, they can both be made to perform, tyres can't, maybe spoke tension or cutting little knobs off, can arguably help...

I get why it's done in F1 and not in MTB. The minutia in F1 is far more important than it is in MTB, how cannot hope to design a bike around a tyre, too many variables. But say that it has little effect to those that have to run crap tyres. The goal is to stop teams looking for...

I kinda would MTB switched to F1 rules for tyres. There's your set for the weekend, there is your dry, wet and inters. This is the brand everyone is riding, crack on. I know marketing and all but i'd wager bad tyres hold riders back more than any other product.

That is not to say the little things that we as consumers or companies do are not important or irrelevant. Every little helps. But afew little things do not negate the big. The way the industry is setup is as wasteful and unfriendly to the environment as it can be. Materials shipped from all over the planet to be manufactured...

For the sake of this conversation it is probably better to look at what you are prepared to give up for a more sustainable industry. Bicycles are less pollutive than cars for transport, but mountain biking has little to no need to exist other than for our pleasure, so everything we do in the sport is adding to the issues...
You can get the French permits without doing the french courses, if you can prove you have the relevant Euro qualifications, you just have to take the French exam, either skiing or biking. It sounds harsh, but unfortunately too many people flaunted with the law and people got hurt. It comes across as protectionist and a portion of it is...
No, it's not guiding as long as money isn't changing hands. The French laws that apply to this are the same as skiing. Which were brought in when esf instructors got upset that chalet companies and other ski instructors bent the rules too far and offered guides and instruction without the relevant qualifications. The French went full protectionist and now...

Oh i know the money is there. I, along with many others in the town we live in, have been pushing hard to motivate our local community to justify a World Cup bid. The answer they give is the lack of funds, despite us proving that if they invested correctly in pre and post event marketing and trail networks, they...

Not a YT setup, It's a Gwinners setup with all kinds of crazy sponsors who are willing to stump up the $$$ to get him..... ......Wrong on Brannigan. ......Canyon comment depends on if anyone else is going to stump up the $$$ to get Bruni and co. out of their contracts.

Not quite mate. Two and a half things on there grossly incorrect. Although 1 of those grossly incorrect things very nearly did happen.
