I wonder what the response from bike designers would have been in 2001 if you had told them, "Just make the top tube three inches longer, the bars four inches wider, and the head angle five degrees slacker. It'll be great. Trust me."

TEAMROBOT Added a comment about video Riders' First Impressions at Red Bull Rampage 2016

That video definitely didn't seem like a heavily-edited selection of interview clips strung together to present the best possible, if not entirely accurate, impression of the new venue and all the changes. It's cool that the riders had literally nothing negative or even ambivalent to say about the event so far. Great investigatory reporting from Red Bull.

If I had to guess I'd bet they're adding volume to the negative spring chamber to make the initial stroke more supple, a la Rockshox Pike and Debonair or the Fox Evol airsleeve. Seems unlikely they'd need to make the positive spring bigger and more linear on it's own.

What a funny thing to say. Yes clips, especially on this track. It's three and a half minutes of running into curbs.

@sundaydoug All bikes are designed around one specific chainring size, and venturing out of their ideal size will negatively affect antisquat values. The difference is that most brands don't claim to have a revolutionary universal magical perfect antisquat value as point one in their press packet.
