5/1/2026 1:54pm I'm not going to cast too much shade on Hardtail Bro. I will, however, cast plenty on the mixed messaging and policies of WBD/UCI. Their implied goal has been to raise the professionalism and elite nature of the sport. Simultaneously, they've allowed a racer to use a hardtail to compete. This is inconsistent with the way they're supposedly pushing the sport. I also will cast a little shade on our community. We've bemoaned the loss of grassroots accessibility to the World Cups while also bashing hardtail dude, who represents just such grassroots privateerism. Dude managed to navigate the red tape...

5/1/2026 2:06am Raw is good, and it has really shaped into a race track. Downside is our bike has absolutely copped it from massive loose rocks flying up and belting every part of it.

4/30/2026 12:44pm The one we've all been waiting for, the first Vital RAW of the World Cup season is here, and it's a good one! Thanks to John Lawlor for the epic hustle getting this one to us so quickly. Healing vibes to Lou Fergusson who crashed on the big step down, and spare a thought for the wheel builders who have their work cut out for them after half the field cased it as well. https://www.vitalmtb.com/videos/features/south-korea-vital-raw-world-cu….

2/15/2026 11:00am Nope. 100% identical track, the kids are just that fast. There’s some solid talent in Aus, but the path to Europe is hard and expensive.
spicymchaggis Added a reply to Low rise bars, more spacers, longer stem vs. high rise bars, fewer spacers, shorter stem?
7/14/2025 1:04pm I have been playing with this a lot lately. I have a disproportionately short torso, and years of setting my bike up the same as everyone else isn’t working. High bars, short stem and minimal spacers seems to be the path I’m headed down. The main difference in feel is that even when set at the same height reach by...

6/25/2025 1:06pm As the parent of a kid who is looking to head down that path from way outside of Europe , I don’t necessarily feel no juniors would be a bad thing. I would be pretty happy for him to have a few more years of life and education up his sleeve before needing to move to the other side of...
