spankthewan Added a reply to Die Trend, Die.

Man, you guys are a LOT like the BMXers who hate on the 26" wheels with your closed-mindedness on the 29er issue. Get over it... Look at a dirtbike sometime, why don't ya? I, for one, want the trend of hating on 29ers to die. Also, companies that void warranties when their products are used to ride aggressively...WTF?

It's that malt liquor sitting by him...and all along we thought it was the crack that makes Tyrone Biggums the ashy, itchy man he is.

I completely agree that it won't be anything like Sunset or The Fix jumps. Just straight hits and such... I think there should be a couple dirt lines that are maintained by a select few riders/volunteers and a big wooden roll-in with some wooden kickers to dirt and satellites to drop. Here is a vid I sent to the Boulder...

K. Shiz., BONE DETH (click) perfectly represents the stereotypical BMXer that you speak of ...However, this also makes me think that socioeconomic statuses PARTLY determine the bikes in which we ride (26 or 20). It costs nothing the shred some street on a 20, but taking a trip to the resorts to hit up some DH will definitely thin you...

@ Shop Mechanic: "Missed Opportunity"...That is the PERFECT way of putting it. Ride your BMX when you can shred harder on it, and do the same with your MTB. I can't do all these spinny-doos, so I rarely ride my BMX unless I am working on my smoothness. Each has its own perks, and for my style and the terrain...

Thanks Sven. That was the in-depth review I was looking for, and it's great to get it from an extremely reputable photographer. Hopefully I will be shooting here pretty soon. -Shawn

HAHA, you guys blow...But, seriously...I knew there was always an underlying hatred, but I have just recently seen it so vocalized. I never ran into these problems in Boulder. It was always skaters vs bikers in the parks. I'm sad...

Wiggle.co.uk has them shipped for under $200. I got a wheelset from them and it was to my house within a week from freaking overseas...SHIPPED FOR FREE!!! Don't spend over 200 bucks

Just get the first marz DJ 1 that pops up on craigslist...dont spend over $140, and make sure it is pretty new, 20mm, and the steer tube is long enough. I don't love the DJ's, but they never broke on me...everything else has.

outside foot down...you can only decide to have your foot on the outside or inside if you go into the berm in reverse.

I spoke with a few pinkbikers a while back, and that is the exact reason they don't use vital. The forums will eventually grow into something that we can reference for all of our biking needs. For instance, Thumpertalk.com has years under their belt, and I can find answers to any moto-related question I ever have just by searching the...

I know, and the fact that you can change it from a short-travel slopestyle bike to a full-on long-travel DH rig in a matter of minutes is badass. I see nothing but good reviews everywhere. Definitely my next bike + a few key upgrades.

Turman... i'm not sure how well that works on powdercoat though. Have you stripped a powdercoated frame with this? I was just saying it is a pain to strip powdercoat, but any other paint should be in the 2-4 hr range.

function over form. it looks super fun to ride and easy to throw your feet over, though something is missing aesthetically...maybe put some reflectors on the wheels.

if your frames are already powdercoated you will have to get them professionally stripped (unless you dont mind the added weight and there are no irregularities such as scratches in the current finish). I think there is a place in golden that does it. trust me...don't try to strip it on your own unless it isnt powder. I would talk...
