Additional Info | I started on hardtails in '92 then moved to full-sus with a Heckler in '96 and never looked back until 2012 when I had an itch for another hardtail cause they look sexy. Riding one must be a blast just like the old days right? That fun wore off at the 7-mile mark. Repetitive flats because I don't want to ride any slower than I do on full-sus got old too. Enter this thing: So damn fun. Period. This doesn't suffer the same death-bounce that happens on a fatbike when you get off line and play Plinko until you hit something hard. It just wants to sprint everywhere and boost every little object. Went with 35mm inner-width rims so I could go with standard 27.5" tires if I wish. Tire profile is perfect, really don't need or want wider even for Plus tires. Fork is a regular 2014 Fox 32 27.5 fork and has plenty of clearance. The tires have the little rubber nubs on there so the pic appears to have less clearance than there actually is. No rubbing even with hard corners and tons of grip. Weight without pedals! |
