A friend of mine did in fact have an extra, but those TTX's are tuned specifically for the Demo's ratios. The other aftermarket shocks that they sell in Italy and France are totally different units with different tunes, which is what the consumer (non-specialized owner) would be purchasing. Reading between the lines, it seems like Spesh bought the usage rights in North America to be the exclusive Ohlins distributor: "Today the products are on the US market with the Specialized bikes but we are not distributed through Öhlins USA (which is however the official service center)." I've been harping on this for years to my friends in the bike biz to no avail, but I really wish manufacturers would publish their downtube measurements. I know, I know its not perfect but it will give you at least a ballpark figure of how a bike will fit while standing (though it will be effected by head angle, headtube height,and fork height as well). Reach is a great # but it's not actually something that can be easily measured in person, whereas I can go up to any 2 bikes with say a 160mm travel fork and measure...

Cruz's whips are still unreal. For me though, Elliot and Ian's scrub whips are sublime, especially Elliot's scrub/whip-to-ET to bring it back out of the crowd's faces. Also, I remember Sidefight, and thinking that was the coolest event idea ever. Big jumps= big fun. Griz, making history happen.
