everything about this video got me excited! Brosnan back on the dh bike, finally seeing footage of Caroline Buchanan.... just so much riding footage!!! Go Sam! Go everyone! Go DH! I can't WAIT for the snow to melt here! (also... that shoe flying shot was amazing! hope the dude was okay! and ties his laces tighter for next time...)

i understand what he's saying about world cup overall essentially being "world champion" and his personal values\goals being consistency oriented -- but the distinction is that in the World Cup the athletes are racing for teams whereas at World Champs they race for their respective countries. I think it adds a really different and awesome element to this sport. I really like that Gwin is starting to express his own opinions more in interviews too rather than just being the calm little winning robot he seemed to be. I think he's becoming much more likeable (despite his irritatingly long winning-streaks.....).

I say for djs the pedals don't need to be as aggressive as dh but don't skimp on pedals/footwear... a platform pedal and a stiff shoe will still enhance the enjoyment.

if the venue can support both dh and slopestyle then why not? they're the two most highly viewed/followed disciplines anyway. i think any of the other pseudo-dh disciplines would fizzle out like 4x did anyway.
