The first name that comes to my mind when I hear the word "legend" is Steve Peat. He could have not won that title and it would still ring the same. Hell, Chuck Norris looks up to him!

THE guy that's raised the bar over the past 6yrs without a doubt. I'm sure even Gwin is marking Sam as the guy to beat next season should he be back to form. Pretty much one of the only current racers potentially capable of meeting/exceeding Vouilloz's reign. The thing that blows me away about him is how he can pick apart the most technical track. It used to be that the guy that went for it on one or two key sections would usually win. He hits those...as well as about a dozen other lines that nobody dared consider...gaining even...

Definitely a bummer he's calling it a career, but still stoked to have been around to witness it. One of those riders that, when they're in the start-gate, you ask yourself "is this going to be the winning run?". The run @ Livigno still blows me away to this day - simply an amazing display of calculation and control!! I'm sure he's still going to be around the circuit in some form or another - hopefully in the broadcast booth as well.
